Why? It’s much easier to ski uphill (with skins of course) rather than snowshoeing with a snowboard strapped to your back. When you get to the top you turn it back into a snowboard for the ride down. The first step of this DIY process is cutting a perfectly good snowboard into two, as documented here.

She’s an American Staffordshire Terrier just like Ginger but a little smaller.

Her first owner had kicked her and broken her leg when she was little : ( Unable to pay for the surgery or to euthanize they were going to take her home a shoot her – when our vet stepped in and rescued her. She’s been living at the vet’s office for months recovering from her leg pinning procedure. Despite a rough start she’s sweet and well adjusted and so happy to finally have a real home.
