Oh Mi Wi Ky Oh Pa!
June 7th, 2010
Vermont to Lisbon, OH to Farmington Hills, MI to Madison, WI to Louisville, KY to Dayton, OH to Beaver, PA, and back to VT in 8 days starting Memorial Day weekend for cousin Julie’s wedding in Madison. Too much driving, and not enough picture taking. So we’re left with these iPhone shots as the only reminder that we’re too old to travel like deadheads on tour anymore.

Split Board
January 6th, 2010
A splitboard is a conventional snowboard which has been split into two skis and outfitted with special hardware to make it convertible. Why? It’s much easier to ski uphill (with skins of course) rather than snowshoeing with a snowboard strapped to your back. When you get to the top you turn it back into a snowboard for the ride down. The first step of this DIY process is cutting a perfectly good snowboard into two, as documented here.
